BYU is really cool, my classes are great but hard. Devotionals are freaking awesome too. My ward is fantastic, there are tons of cool people. I got called to be relief society secretary and I'm really excited to get to know all the girls and to serve them. The cannons food is good but whats a ninja gotta do to get some orange chicked around hea? hahaha. I've been working out a couple hours everyday its really fun. my weightlifting class helps alot cause ill get an hour of lifting in and then ill stay after and do 45 mins on the elliptical or treadmill. I've gained weight since being in utah but i think ill lose it. hopefully. hahah casue my jeans are getting tighter. Oh we went to DI and holy crap that place is filled with freaking treasures and it so cheap!
The other night we all went to wyview and made musubis and cookies, played some games and then had a jam sesh. It was way fun, more fun than the bonfire party that was going on that all the sinners went to. hahhaha just kidding.

The other day we kayaked to Chinamans Hat and then climbed to the top. It was really fun and the view from the top was so nice. We ended up circumnavigating the island becasuse google told me to land on the right side of the island but when we got there, there wasnt any place to put our kayaks so we went all the way around and found a place. Here are the pictures. They are better at explaining than I am. hahha

hahahah. I finally got my license. I pretty much just wanted to get it before I turned eighteen so I didnt waste my life in drivers ed. This was my third time taking the retard thing. hahhahha The first time I failed cause she said I was too timid. The second time i failed cause i switched lanes across a solid white line or something.

I got the cool filipino guy this time and we pretty much just talked and laughed the entire time. So here is my license... and in case youre wondering why my hair is like that in the picture its casue i have a huge bruise/cut oh the side of my face that I didnt really want in the picture. you cant see it in this picture either cause my head is tilted. You guys dont wanna see it, its not that attractive.

It's kinda a funny story. Actually its like really funny. hahahahah. Saturday night at work. (oh yeah i work at the theatre... i dont know if you guys know that or not. haha) we were cleaning up and there were two bags of trash that needed to be taken out to the dumpster. I had the great idea of racing. me and my coworker travis raced. he was a little bit in front of me on the way back but he underestimated my superhuman speed and thought i was far behind so when he ran into the theatre he tried to close the door. i was right behind hi so basically i ran straight into the corner of the door. It knocked me flat on my butt. hahahah I was like oh crap my face hurts. matt, job, and don came out and were like dude your bleeding and i was like dangit. So i have a big diagonal bruise/cutish thing on my face and a massive bruise on my arm. i look like some abused woman or something. hahah So i try to cover it so the child protective services dont come to our house.

So basically I'm a loser because no one has commented on my blog for like four months but I still write stuff. hahahahah

I've been wanting to go on this hike for a while now. Dude, this was the hardest hike I've ever been on I think. I was hanging like a fat kid in gym class man. hahaha. for real though some of the parts were super steep and straight up climbs that lasted forever. It took about six hours. The cliffs were pretty cool/scary too. On some part the trail was about a foot and half wide at most and there were just cliffs on both sides. hahah. I think the scariest parts though were climbing up rocks at the top. I'll put some pictures. We didn't get pictures of the super intense parts though cause we were scared to not use both hands. hahaha. It was such a fun hike though.

So I graduated last week Thursday. Wooooo. hahaha. I also got a $1,000 scholarship!!! That was pretty crazy. I didn't have to apply so it was a total surprise. Here are a few pictures, not really in order cause I'm lazy. hahahah

Senior year is coming to a close. Im stoked and sad at the same time. Anyways here are some of the random things have been doing.

Senior Tile: Way more time consuming than I thought it would be. Everything had to have five coats of the paint and they cant overlap. So my jellyfish lost like all of its tentacles because

I didnt want to paint all of them and between them. hahahah.

Morp: Prom spelled backwards I guess. hahah. I went with my friend mozy and we made our shirts which i think look fantastical. Last high school dance was pretty good actually. hahah

Voter Registration: In AP Gov't we registered to vote. That was pretty cool.

Model UN: Pretty much the most ridiculous looking kids at Model UN were the chairs. hahah It was funny cause while were up there were all serious like "You will address me as Madam Chair" and "The Chair will now entertain any main motions" and stuff like that but we looked retarded. Our country was the US.

Senior Lock-In: The senior lock-in at the gym was pretty fun. We had a dance and games and watched a movie and stuff. It started at 9pm and finished at 7am. Then I had a meeting for girls camp at 8am. Yeah, that was great. hahahha.

A lot of awesome things have been happening to me lately. Not to say that good things haven't been happening to me my whole life, I'm so spoiled it's ridiculous, but yeah.

Anyways, today I got a letter in the mail and it was from BYU and they are giving me full tuition scholarship for fall and winter! First I thought it was half but it turned out be full since I'm mormon! Yay! I am going to school for free! YAY! That was pretty nuts I totally didn’t expect to get a scholarship.

Basically I look crazy in this picture. hahaha

A few days ago I got a call from mrs. Palmer telling me I won the Starbucks Star Poet contest. That was way cool plus I get $50! I am also happy I won because every year the private school kids from Iolani and Punaho sweep the competition. Hahaha. I didn’t think I would win that either because I wrote the poem super fast at recess one day because I forgot it was due. Here it is in case you wanna read it. Personally I don’t think it’s that great but hey, if they like it that’s awesome.

The other week I got third place in the state for this magazine cover I designed in yearbook class. That was pretty cool. We got to go on a field trip and see our stuff hanging in the convention center. Kahuku kids got a lot of awards, that made me happy cause in case you haven’t noticed I love to see public schools like kahuku beat the private ones. hahaha

six year olds dont need cell phones

So I tutor after school for the A+ program at Kahuku elementary. I love those kids so much!

Anyways today I was helping this girl in first grade and her and her little friends were talking about how they googled Justin Biebers phone number and were trying to call him. It blew my mind. They're six years old! what do they need cell phones for, seriously. hahahaha. Another thing that blew my mind is that they know how to text.

And Justin Beiber, really? They described to me how "cute" he is and how they like his hair and know all his songs. Then they showed me their dance moves, which can I say were way too risque for their age, but were funny to me. hahahaha

They are funny kids. I'm gonna miss them when I graduate.

Youth Conference

Youth Conference was pretty much the bomb this year. I was on the planning committee so I was super hoping everything would turn out. It was the biggest Youth Conference I've ever seen. It was the Laie stake, the Laie North stake, and one of the BYUH stakes. There were over 600 kids there it was awesome.

We camped at cricket field a night and it was so fun. The security was crazy. hahah guys on one side of the field girls on the other with over 75 security guys and bright lights everywhere. hahaha. We brought a fire truck to spray all the kids since we knew it'd be super hot and that was so unbelievably fun. It was supposed to be "cleansing" but everyone ended up wrestling in the mud. All the activities, workshops and everything all just worked out, it was great. The testimony meeting was amazing. So many people went up it lasted over two and a half hours and nobody minded we all wanted it to last longer.

Youth Conference has always been something I've looked forward to and that has always helped me. I was sooooo unbelievably happy when people said it was the best youth conference theyd ever been to, that it strengthened their testimonies, that theyd made new friends, or even that it was just fun. Operation Youth Conference: VICTORIOUS!! hahaha

So I am super spoiled and have never shared a room. So its really weird for me to think that someone is going to be sleeping in the same room as me. I think that is so awkward. hahaha But it should be a good experience becasue I really should learn how to share stuff....like living space. hahahah I sound like such a spoiled brat.

I signed up for housing the other day fro BYU. Im staying in Helaman Halls in the David John building. yay! A bunch of us had the same day for registering so afterwards we were all excited so we played our official dorm room celebration song and danced around.

Anyways here is the sketchy part. I signed up for a room that was empty thus far and then a few minutes after some girl signed up for the bed next to me. We tried to look her up on facebook BUT SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ONE. Hmmmmmmm. So now I am worried. hahaha. Either she is really, really unbelievably busy or she is some weirdo recluse. I am probably over reacting. She could have no internet. Or she used a different spelling for her name. Who knows. All I know is that a college bound teenager should have a facebook. especially if she is going to be my roommate.

So on friday morning my friends Gabby, Levi, Saya, Mikey and I went on a hike in Hauula. Basically the hike doesnt have a trail so we were crawling on the ground under branches and crap. hahaha about 70% of the trail was hopping on rocks in this stream. They were really slippery so i ate it alot. haha I have so many bruises and scratches its ridiculous. Anyways the waterfalls we got to were amazing and the water was nice and freezing. Thats it. hahaha Story of my life.

We got 2nd place at the state competition so no trip to DC for us. It sucked. Really, really bad. hahahah. I'm such a sore loser.

I hate losing. When I want to win, like I HAVE to win.
I didn't think we were gonna win before but it came down to the competition day and we were doing better than I expected so we all got hope again.
Anyways, I had to be in two units because we were short a person.

For Unit Two the main questions was "How Did the Framers Create the Constitution?" and for Unit Three it was "How Has the Constitution Been Changed to Further the Ideals Contained in the Declaration of Independence?"
Putting in so much work makes it worse to lose.
Oh well. We had fun at the competition I guess. We are still way better looking than the ugly kids from Mililani. hahahahaha. Bitter much?
You know what I think is sketchy? Usually the state tournament is at a Univeristy. But it was at Mililani this time. and oh my gosh. millilani wins for the first time ever. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I hope they all get amnesia. hahhahh

This break was cool. Jeremy came home and we worked alot. haha We went kayaking once that was cool. On New Years Eve we had the Ortizs and Stewart and Malia over for a BBQ. It was fun we sang some songs with stews guitar and played this game called balderdash that was really funny. AFter everyone went home me and Jeremy went to go hangout with some friends. Close to midnight we drove around and found a house that had lots of fireworks. It was crazy they had atleast 20 of those illegal ariel ones. hahah. It was a good house to be at.

New Moon

So I'm not really much of a Twilight fan but I somehow found myself at the midnight premiere of New Moon with ten twilight obsessed girls and 6 guys who really had no idea why there were there either. The movie was alright. haha kinda lame except for that hot indian kid and his body. There were some intense fans there I felt bad for them and their pathetic lives. hahahaha jk taht was mean.
There were alot more men at the premiere than I expected. I categorized them into four groups: 1. Men who had been dragged by their girlfriends.
2. Guys who had been dragged by their friends who had been dragged by their girlfriends so they wouldnt be the only ones not screaming.
3. Gay men.
4. Guys who were trying to pick up chicks.

Thanksgiving was exuberantly traditional at the James house this year. I pressure washed the house, risking my life atop the scaffolding. haha We were hungry so I put on some surfah slippers to appear decent for Thanksgiving lunch. We took a drive down to McDonalds and got a burger and some large fires. We worked some more and after I watched TV. Thanksgiving dinner was chili and rice. hahahah yeahhhh i liked it anyway.

So i decided to go to sadies this year becasue ive never gone and its my senior year so i figured it could be alright. It was my second kahuku dance for the my whole intermediate and high school career. I brought this kid kyle. He is basically the shyest child you will ever meet in your life. hahah seriously.
I wrote and illustrated him a story which basically threatned him to come to me. hahahah I had my friend josh deliver it to his classroom. which probably embarassed him to death. haha Anyways he said yes so we went tp sadies. and it was a lame becasue they played crappy songs. haahaha oh well i tried to participate in a school activity.

Giving Blood for the First Time

We were excited to show off our bandages. hahaha

There was a blood drive at school on Tuesday so I signed up to donate when i heard about it a few weeks before. I was sort of nervous to give blood becasue one of my friends fainted last year. hahah So I went out to that bloodmobile at my appointment time and waited outside until I was called in. I was interviewed and they asked me questions like if I had ever had sex with someone with AIDS. hahah, luckily I passed.
I was seated on a bed and next to me was my friend Nehoa. He made me super nervous becasue he almost passed out and was getting all dizzy and had to stop early. I was like ahhhh. My nurse was this super funny tita so it was cool. The needle was HUGE! hahah holy crap. I didnt look while she was putting it in but i looked after and it looked really big. I wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be. It didnt even really hurt. I was glad.
Giving blood was a cool experience. Dad always gives blood so I guess that made me want to give blood when I could too. Ive had a lot of friends who've gotten into accidents and stuff like that and they've needed blood so I'm glad people donated then and saved their lives. You never know when your going to need blood I guess.

So Halloween was cool. The night before Halloween I worked at the Haunted Lagoon. I was dressed up as a skeleton and I just had to take pictures with people. I made little kids cry it was kind of funny but I felt bad. Dog the Bounty Hunter came. That was cool but he wasn't even all dressed up, he was wearing like normal people clothes. hahah

MY PHONE GOT STOLEN. As well as all the money out of my wallet. And three other peoples wallets. ARGGGG I was working for the haunted lagoon at PCC and when me and this guy Helam got back he realized his wallet was gone, I checked my bag and my phone was gone. My wallet was still there but all the money was taken out. I guess thats the only upside to having a dirty and old wallet. Two other wallets were taken besides Helams. So basically i hope this person gets some narley karma and ther whole house gets stolen. haha but seriously. People are stupid.

Cheerfest was awesome! This was my first year doing it and it was really fun. Here is the funny thing. We got disqualified.... for three different things. hahahah So the first thing we got disqualified for was that some people in the back ripped up the underclassmen signs during the cheer. Which i admit was stupid of them. haha The second thing was that youre onyl supposed to have two people on the floor at the same time but we had like twenty when the guys came down. Third, we had too many cutdowns in our cheer so that was unsportsmanlike. Sooooo 1st place: freshman. 2nd: sophmores. 3rd Juniors. DQ'd: seniors. :D

I really only have three classes that require work which are my AP's and we the people. Holy shiz my human phys class is a joke. Its a general class and it's dificulty level is about a negative one thousand. It's awesome. hahaha. We the People is gonna be tough. Mililani is gaining on us. They want DC so bad. And I have to do two units instead of just one becasue our team is short a person. But were gonna take states anyway! Muahaha

I feel like I need to update my blog more since you guys are in Utah and I'm here now. I think i will start blogging about more everyday kind of things. So here is a sort of not really amazing post hahah.

So pretty much some of my friends and I went to a dance and took over the place with our incredible good looks and lack of basic dancing skills. After the dance we got like 18 people into two cars, picked up a movie from clean flicks, and watched it here. It's a good thing we have a big living room or we wouldnt have a place to chill when there is a bunch of us. Monday was the last day of summer! Ah! It was such a fun day but it was sad knowing it was the last day. First I went on a hike up to laie falls with my amamzing friends Steve, Karena, Levi, Max, Shez, Caressa, Gabby, Adam, Little Max, and David. Hikes are always fun for me but when youre with your good friends they are like the best things ever!

Right after the hike I went to Waimea with my friends Tree, Potter, Levi and Stefi. Me and Levi were so tired from the hike but we had a great time anyways.

I FINALLY JUMPED WAIMEA ROCK!! hahaha Levi, Potter and Tree went to jump the rock they asked me if I wanted to come but I dont like hieghts so i said no. Then Mike (oh thats Potters first name. haha I call him Potter or harry) took me up and I squeezed his hand to death while we stood on the edge. While we were standing there this little four year old girl jumped off and I was like grrrrreat. Treana was watching and she told me "Youre holding Harry Potters hand. His magic will protect you." I laughed and decided that her statement was true so we jumped together right after that. I screamed the whole way down, probably right into mikeys ear. I dont think I stopped screaming until I hit the water because I swallowed some. hahah. It was fun and terrifying at the same time, I'm glad I did it though. :)

SOAR

So I went to SOAR and it was frikken awesome! I met a ton of people from everywhere and the counselors were super funny. I am so glad i got to go. Anyways here are some pictures they are probably better than my semi sensible musings.

Last Day in Hawaii..Sharks cove

Sooooooo yesterday was the last day that i have in Hawaii to actually go to the beach or hangout and stuff. So we went to sharks cove and got sunburned. It was low tide in the morning so we found a big patch of sand to lay on away from the masses of sunblock lathering tourists. We stayed for a while, it was funny becasue the little island we were on kept getting smaller and smaller. Eventually we had to move, it was kinda funny. One of the guys who came, Cody, is 6'7" so we wanted to bury him in a huge hole in the sand but it was taking too long so we buried austin instead. hahah

So summer is finally here. THANK HEAVENS. I got senioritis super bad like the last month of school so it was really hard keeping my grades up but i managed. Oh! I got a C in math!!!! yeahhhh!!! hahahha so my gpa for the semester will be a 3.8. here are my grades.

Ahhh AP exams are killing me. Well not so much the AP Lang exam but the AP US is killer.

There is just too much too remember. too many dates, too many people, treaties, court cases, acts, tariffs, wars, rebellions, political parties, battles, presidents, speeches, doctrines, amendments, controversies, bills, scandals, unions, assasinations, compromises, economic issues, protests, social programs, invasions, conventions.....too much....cant...handle...brain...overloaded...

AP Lang Im not really worried about. I got a 4 on the mock test but Palmer said she expects me to get a five since she grades harder than them...i was like great, now if i dont i will feel like i let you down. hahah oh well

Literature Festival and my new favorite author Markus Zusak!

So i was sitting in school on friday and Mrs. Jackson my ninth grade teacher came into my class and tells me i should come to the Literature Festival. I was like "uhhhhhhh I'll think about it." But i didnt really wanna go with all these gay nerd kids from town so i wasnt planning on even thinking about going. haha But in my next period a few of my friends told me they were going and taht i should come too, so i decided to go.
I hadnt read any of the books yet so i picked the shortest one; it was like 60 pages. I started reading during my free period and found taht the book was a piece of crap. haha My friends gabby told me this book I am the Messenger was good so she gave it to me. I read all 400 pages yesterday. the book was so good and superrrrrr hilarious i laughed on the very first page.
The literature festival was today:saturday. We went to the workshop for the book i read. oh i need to explain. hahah so the let festival is bascailly they pay authors of books to come and talk to us and have little workshops and stuff.
Soooo we walk into Markus Zusac's room. And he is beautiful. And hilarious. And has a rugged Australian accent. And writes amazing books. And.....did i mention beautiful?
I dont know if youve ever heard of the book called The Book Thief but he wrote it and it was the newyork time #1 bestseller for a while. But he talked about it and pretty much i want to read it right now. yeah, I am the Messenger was really good but everyone said The Book Thief blows it out of the water. So i want to read it now.
I got him to sign my book and he actually wrote stuff and i thought that was really cool, and he said different stuff for us too. There was this other author and he was cocky and thought he was so amazing. i didnt like him. hahah he was like "yeah everyone is talking to me." we were like oh, really? hahah We took pictures with Markus Zuzac and we were like yes!!! he was so nice he went into his lunch time to meet everyone who wanted to meet him and sign their books and what not. here they are! plus some stalker ones as well.
oh yeah and a funny conversation that went on between a friend and I:
"holy crap, that guy is hot. he is a writer, they arent supposed to be hot."
"I dont know, he's good looking, but he looks kind of weird."
"Yeah....but like a hot kind of weird."

yayyyyyyyyyyyy i got into soar!!! hahah i was so happy. my mom called me while i was at a friends house telling me the letter came so i went straight home to go and open it and i was accepted. i am so happy, i was scared i wasnt going to get in. Im in the first session and it starts on june 22. Thanks andrea and mark for helping me and sanae for gettingme interested in the program too!

ACT test trauma

So I am taking the ACT this saturday and I don't know why on earth I signed up for this weekend becasue I will have been on spring break for two weeks when I take it. hahah I'm having a good time trying to jump start my brain into actually comprehending things. I'm hoping to get just like a 25 or something for my first time. I would be satisfied with that, but anything higher would be cool too. Anything lower I guess is alright too. hahah

So my friend and I are both taking it this saturday so we've been sort of trying to study but i think actually studying time has amounted to about three minutes. hahah I think we both have ADD, him espescially. Hopefully we do alright. :D

Con Con

Con Con was super awesome! Me and my friends Mikey, Chelsie and Keelan were in a delegation. We were Pennslyvania and our bills were about preventing teen pregnancy and preventing online child predators. hahah I like that Kahuku always has Con Con and Model UN becasue its super fun to kill peoples bills and stuff.

Like this one kids bill was about taking care of all nuclear and radioactive waste material in the entire US and when I asked him how much money it was going to take he said 4 million dollars. hahahah. Ok yeah im a jerk for asking becasue i knew he had to idea, but 4 million dollars for the entire country? seriously.

im taking the ACT in april and then again hopefully in june if i get into SOAR. i better. hahah

SAT prep

So i took this SAT prep class. I think it was worth it. Im taking the SAT on Saturday at byu. hopefully i don't completely jack it up because that would be bad. We took a full length practice test during the class, he said it should give us a pretty good idea of what we will probabaly get. i got a 770 in Reading, 640 in Writing, and a 480 in Math.
Please see me if you would like me to share my expertise in mathematics, i would be pleased to tutor you. I also have a strict "no refunds" policy.
Its out of 2400 so my score was 1890. Except i dont know if i added that up corectly... i think its right. Hopefully i can get my writing score up because math is a lost cause already. hahahahh

so christmas was cool. mark, andrea and mason came down from utah to visit. it was fun playing with masons kanckles (hmmm dont know how to spell that...) and seeing mark and andrea again. It's been pretty rainy during the break but we got some pictures on a sunny day at clissolds. it was funny we had this towel bag and we tried to put mason inside of it. haha hilarious.

FLOOD!

This huge storm is passing by and on thursday we had no school because it rained so hard. I found out and decided to go to my friends house on Moana st. she said it was flooding and i was thinking mauybe like a foot of water. But i got there on my bike and thw water was up to my waist! Peoples houses are super flooded. Some people i know had two and a half feet of water thin their house.

its crazy. So me and a bunch of my friends helped people sandbag their house and then after that we went out and enjoyed it! there were kayak races, soccer, football, rugby and ultimate frisbee at byu fields. It was fun. It was cool school got out too, but not that people houses got flooded.
Anyways yeah here are some pictures. some of them arent too good. Oh! we all pitched in a got a water prof disposable camera at foodland so ill put those up when we get it developed.

Australia

Whoa, so i went to go see Australia with my amazing friends Doug, Grant, and Gabby. It was spectacular. Well more like Hugh Jackman was spectacular. haha but the movie was way cool too.
There was also this overly dramatic old lady in the theatre. It was so funny. Me and dougie were cracking up. She was always gasping and saying stuff like "Oh lord have mercy!, Oh bless their hearts!" it was hilarious. You should go see it, sorry the overly dramtic woman isnt guranteed.
i have homework to do obviously. so i am writing on here.

So, this bloggy stuff is really confusing, but hey, im from hawaii, i have to make the best of what i have. (grass huts, ukuleles, coconuts etc.)
I'm not even exactly sure if im friends with anyone on here. i could just be like one of those senseless old ladys ranting to herself.
Anyways, i figured i would summarize what has been going on with my life. yayyyyyyy
I'm taking six classes Algerbra 2 (rahhhhhh), AP language, Spanish 2, Chemistry, AP US History, and Newswriting. My gpa is 3.5 right now becasue im getting an F in math. evil. If i didnt have math id be getting a 4.0. Soooooo im hoping to be able to scrape a C becasue that will bring it up to about a 3.7 or 3.8.
Im in the process of applying for SOAR and im hoping ill get in. If not i dont know what im going to do with my life because i probably wont get into byu without it. hahahah If byu doesnt work out ill probably go to byui or byuh.
I'm also president of the envriomental club at schoool. its fun. Cross country season just finished and that is a huge relief. runnning 6 miles a day was not the most enjoyable thing ever.
im getting my permit this friday and drivers ed starts in january.
im hoping to get a job at foodland also as THE BEST BAGGER IN THE WORLD! ive always wanted to be a grocery bagger ever since i was a kid. its kind of odd.
so thats it in my life basically.
